It is easy to say: Happy Memorial Day, without giving much thought to what that date actually stands for. Yet, there is so much more to this day than sales, picnics and the day off. Sure, there is nothing wrong with getting to celebrate all that with your loved ones, but it is also important to remember the reason behind each holiday. Once we truly stop and ponder what that day actually means, we realize it isn’t such a happy day, but it is a very important one.
