We are a technically advanced spring company looking for a Spring Coiler Set-Up Person. We are a fun and growing company and are looking for a motivated person to grow with us. We offer a 4 day work week with 3 day weekends Every Weekend!

What You Will Be Doing

Acxess Spring uses automatic spring coilers to manufacture custom springs, which conform to blueprints and customer specifications.

A Spring Coiler reads blueprints, sketches of springs to determine the set up needed to be done, dimensional specifications, operating requirements and job order for product specifications.

Spring coiler performs set up on spring coilers.

Checks material compliance, the size of wire. Examines wire stock with micrometer to ensure conformance to specifications. Prepares pay out reel. Positions and secures wire in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or other fixtures.

Observes machine operation and measures springs for conformance to specifications, using micrometers or gauges.

Performs in-process inspections to assure proper conformance of springs.

May adjust machinery as needed to assure that spring meets specifications. May sharpen cutoff tool and remove coiling marks from coiling point and pitch tool, using bench grinder.

Responsible for meeting the specifications on the traveler process sheet.

Equipment -KHM CNC 8HS Spring Coilers (from .007 to .032" wire diameters); KHM CNC 26 Spring Coiler - (.032 to .100 wire diameters) Spring coiler performs set-ups on spring coilers to manufacture coil springs, extension, torsion and conical springs and handles wire in a variety of wire manufacturing machinery and equipment.

 

What You Need for this Position

At Least 1 Year of experience and knowledge of:

  • Spring Coiler
  • Automatic Spring Coiler
  • Spring Maker and Minor Secondary Operations
  • Digital Spring Rate & Load Testers (load cells)
